My Reaction to: The Wedding by Nicolas Sparks

Given my situation at home, a friend recommended that I read "The Wedding" by Nicolas Sparks.  Although the situation of the characters in the book are different from mine in many ways, I can't help but relate to the story..

The story is an indirect sequel to The Notebook which I both read and watched.  I know I loved that story and the opportunity to read something with Noah and Allie Calhoun really attracted me..  Its a lovely story.  Although the ending was partly expected, the ride was well worth it.

Actually I had my hands on the ebook for a while now and really didn't have the time to read it.  But last April 30 I brought the car to the dealership for periodic maintenance.  As such, I had a lot of free time on my hands.  I ended up reading The Wedding as I was passing the time.  Next thing I knew I was done with the book!  Ahahahaha.

I guess I have to admit that I am a fan of Nick Sparks.  I try my best to watch the film adaptations of his works but life has gotten in the way and I have yet to watch Message in a Bottle, Nights in Rodanthe, and The Lucky One.  Maybe if I get the chance I will try my hardest to get my hands on these films..  Ahahaha.

I have to admit that The Wedding really got to me.  As much as I enjoyed reading it, I know that I have a long way to go before I win over my spouse again.  I hope that I can think of something special before our 10th wedding anniversary.

Until next time..
