New Year, new beginnings..

Whew!  Its really been a while since I've been able to write..

First, they blocked blogger at the office.  So I couldn't log in when I'm at work.  And whenever I'm at home I no longer have the inspiration to put things down into my blog.  Boom!

Second, things at home have been busy lately.  Me and the missus have been in the middle of a cold snap since December and spring is still nowhere in sight!  That, and I've been busy with the kids lately.  Busy busy busy!  Let's get it on!

Third, the number of work days at the factory was cut down so I'm looking here and about for work as well as pushing for some business on the side..

Soooo what have I been up to?

Mid-January 2015 we finally proceeded to have the renovations at my brother-in-law's house in Cavite.  Since we always crash their place at least once a month, we thought that it would be a nice "thank you" gesture to have their toilet renovated.  I spent three days and two nights at their place to oversee the renovations and we spent somewhere around P25,000 for all the work and materials.  There's still a bit of work left over, but we'll have it done soon enough before summer starts..  This is because we plan to have the kids spend their summer vacation over at Cavite.

And towards the end of January, I went job hunting.  I had a bit of trepidation at the start, but I have to say that the whole exercise was worth it.  I have learned a lot of things from going around Makati applying for work and I'm back at the drawing board trying to re-think my strategy.  Why? The interviews were a breeze for me, but sadly I couldn't find work!  At my current salary, I couldn't find any decent work that could pay my wages!  All that was on offer was for entry-level positions which had salaries that wouldn't even pay for my monthly grocery bills!  Damn!

February has come and gone and I'm still stumped.  Now you might be wondering why I'm job hunting when I've got a job in the first place right?  Well, lets just say that things have been different lately at work and I'm not so sure I want to there when the shit finally hits the fan.  I just want to be making sure that I've got my reserve chute when the time comes - if you get what I'm saying here..

Is my blog dead?  Hell no.  I'm just taking my sweet time warming up to my old writer self!
