When giving chances to somebody, you have to let them know that you are giving them another chance. Because if not, they will think that you are being unfair and that you did not give them enough opportunity to prove that they can change. Hindi naman kasi nila alam na binigyan mo sila ng chance di ba?
Keeping such "chances" only to yourself actually means that you were giving yourself another chance and not the other person. Telling them later on that you gave them chance after chance to redeem themselves just shows how selfish you have been towards that other person - because you did not bother to tell the other person that he/she was being given an opportunity to begin with.
We often fail to go the extra mile for people in our lives. Often we think that we have done enough for them just by giving them another chance. But did you actually tell that person you were giving him/her another chance?
