Poetry: Have Faith

HAVE FAITH


You try try try try and try.
Then you try try try try and try some more.
And after you try try try try and try,
You tell yourself you've run dry.

You then say you tried.
You tried and tried some more.
And after you had tried and tried,
You suddenly tell yourself that you are tired.

You sit and close your eyes.
And smile as you think back.
After you had gone through all those why's,
You review your plan of attack.

As the time for rest takes over,
you cannot help but wonder.
What have I been trying for?
You stare so hard at the door.

Close your eyes and go to sleep.
Tomorrow will be another day to try.
The future is yours and mine to keep.
As time leaves us no time to cry.

You are not alone in trying.
Know that the Lord is with you always.
And when you really feel like dying,
He will carry you on all of those days.
