As I went home to Leyte sometime ago, I came upon a situation that I would never wish to happen to myself.. While I was waiting for my turn to get checked in at the airport, the person in front of me who was traveling with her young daughter, was told by the ground stewardess that her flight was actually not until the next day. She had actually come in a day early of her flight!
Apparently, she asked somebody else to book her flight and didn't actually bother to read the details on the printout that she got. You could really see the dread on her face as it dawned on her that she would not be able to fly that morning and that she would have to work things out somehow as she had a lot of luggage plus a young daughter with her..
I tried my best to act unperturbed by it all and proceeded to check in after she went to the side to collect her thoughts and belongings. I felt bad for that lady. And it reminded me to be mindful of my travel details before going anywhere. I just hope I don't become too forgetful someday and make that same mistake that lady did..
