I got to see the kids on December 26th. I was very happy to have been given the chance to see them and give them my gifts. I had also brought along some gifts for the household in Cavite so it was a gift-giving trip of sorts. They had all just come back from spending Christmas eve in Canyon Cove in Batangas and were full of stories of how much fun they had. They were all happy and they looked well.
We ate merienda at Jollibee and I had a blast with the kids all trying to get my attention! Afterwards we went upstairs so they could play at the play place there. I put them in for an hour and got to speak with my brother-in-law's wife for some Hi's and hellos. All-in-all it was a very pleasant day for me especially since I had been missing the kids for a while.
I am deeply thankful for being given the chance to see the kids and am looking forward to the next time that I will be seeing them. And as the time came to bid them goodbye, I hugged them all and we had a group picture taken. It had been a while since I had a picture taken with my kids, and this was as good a chance as any.
And as I drove home, I was tired but very happy. It was a very nice day.
