I WANT TO SEE YOU
.. as you cry to me your troubles.
I long to wipe away your tears
and kiss away your pain.
.. as you angrily shout at me.
Seeing you at your fiercest
makes me want to hold you even tighter.
.. in your happy moments.
As your bright smile infects us all,
you make us forget our worries.
.. in your difficult moments.
Bravely leading the way for others to follow.
Never showing a hint of your fears.
.. in the evening as you end your day.
Talking gently as you drift into sleep.
I close my eyes as the world goes away..
.. in the morning as you sleep.
Silently breathing, unmoving.
Your hair a beautiful mess over your face.
And as you open your eyes,
I softly tell you "Hi" and you smile back.
I love these moments the most.
As I was biking earlier this morning I had this piece in my mind. I tucked it in and let the idea grow into this poem. I hope you liked reading it as much as I did while I was writing it. =)
