I revisited an old post of mine from 2013 and it was all about man being greedy by nature. Reading through it now, I still think that it holds true. From ancient times to the present, man it seems will always seek to find more and better ways to satisfy himself.
The planet is paying the price for all this greed. As we consume without thought of the world around us, we as a species will probably drive ourselves to extinction someday. Or maybe the world will turn on some sort of immune response and rid itself of the virus called humanity and repair itself. Who knows?
All we ever think about is our own happiness. You can also add to that the thought of how we can fend for our offspring. And how we can have a comfortable life. And while all of this is pretty much how all of us humans think, we haven't really come to realize (as a species) that the health of our planet is far more important than our own happiness. It kinda makes me think sometimes if by practicing the 3 R's (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), I as a single human can make a difference for the future of this world.
Wala lang.. Feeling Earth crusader lang.
