I quit my previous job last April 30th. They told me that I can expect to get the check for my last salary after two to three months. Not so bad since I could afford to wait that long. Boy was I wrong!
Two months came and nothing. Three months and still nothing. At four months they told me there was still no word about my check. Damn.
Five and a half months later I had enough. I decided to access the company website and left a feedback email there to file a complaint. I knew that such email would be seen by a representative in the parent company in Switzerland so I knew just how big a deal such a complaint would become once it reaches HR. And true enough, a week after I sent the complaint I get a call from HR telling me that my check was already prepared and ready for pickup. Finally.
It's about time they released my check especially since I'm already neck-deep in debt! Finally I can start paying off some debts! I just wish I had done this sooner..
