Typhoon Mario just got me. I got in to the office today with more than half of my trousers wet from the rain. Damn. I had forgotten to pack my work gear into my bag and should have just drove to work in full rain gear. Now I'm sitting on my chair with wet trousers and hoping that my boy heat will eventually dry off my clothes.. Sheesh.
I had actually bought a new raincoat last week since the one that I was using was already worn out and tattered. It was also a bit too tough and unwieldly to use. So I bought a china-made raincoat that covered the front part of the scooter and had a clear portion where the head light can shine through and had slots for where the side mirrors can slip through. It was very nifty but the lack of side clips left my sides open to the elements. Although I had worn a jacket, my legs were easily exposed to the rain and I ended up getting my trousers wet. And so now I'm torn between the idea of wearing shorts next time and buying rain pants.
I just hate it when it rains like this. I just hope I get a lot of work done today..
