Post College Works... HIS AND HER SITUATION

25 MAY 2000

HIS AND...

In his quest for the one he loves,
there is nothing a man will not do.
All things are made possible.
All because of love.

It is a long road to the final destination.
The way is never always the same.
Sometimes its short and sweet,
but oftentimes winding and trecherous.

The ends will never be clear.
He will get there or never know at all.
You never really know
until you're there.

In getting there, he is victorious.
Winning is good; let the battle begin.
In never getting there, he is at a loss.
Losing is sad; start the journey anew.

It seems so easy on the surface.
He is out to sell himself.
But as he sells, he actually trades.
It is a road that goes both ways.

HER SITUATION

In her quest for the one,
there are only so much that a woman can do.
Whatever is possible.
She will try all because of love.

On the road to the final destination,
it is a long wait.
So many others on the way.
Who to go with? That is the question.

In the end only she will know,
if he really is the one.
But until he's not yet there,
she will wait for him.

When he comes, she will fall.
Her wait is over; time to fight to keep him.
Until he arrives, she will make do.
She turns another one away; he is not the one.

It seems so easy indeed.
Sitting around waiting and hoping.
She just wants to go after the one.
It is a road that goes both ways.

I think that this was the first time I explored the idea of the male and female situation during courtship.  It was kinda fun to write this piece..
